Melissa Perkins was a strong and stubborn Adirondack woman. She became an outcast of North Creek when she moved in with Jones Ordway, a famous lumber baron, whom had another home and family in Glens Falls. Disowned by her family and shunned by the ladies of North Creek, she lost 3 children to diphtheria and jones in 1890. Upon her death she willed a mausoleum be built on top of a hill so she could look down on those that had looked down on her during her life. This coffee combines the taste of unsweetened chocolate, pasilla chiles and medium roasted coffee to capture Melissa's fiery spirit.
